On the 17th of July, the BBC Concert Orchestra will be bringing movie magic to life with ‘Lights, Camera, Malta’
A 70-piece orchestra will bring you a night of live music dedicated to the scores of some of the most iconic films ever to be shot in Malta. Over 100 spectacular films have had their cameras roll in Malta, including The Da Vinci Code, Midnight Express, Troy, Popeye, and Gladiator. And, as we all know, it’s famously served as a principal location for the hit TV series Game of Thrones.
Speaking of Game of Thrones, there are going to be two GoT stars present on the night! Our host for the night is going to be none other than Tywin Lannister himself, Mr Charles Dance. Hannah Waddighman, who played Septa Unella on the show, will also be present as one of the musical guests on the night.

“It’s terrifying… absolutely,” Dance said in an interview at the Excelsior Hotel. “This isn’t something I do very much. I’ve done three recitals for orchestras before but not something like this, in front of some 11,000 people while listening to these extraordinary voices. This is the talent, I’ll just go down there and waffle for a bit.”
“But listen to these people sing and this orchestra play; I get a buzz out of it but it’s terrifying.”
Dance said that working with the BBC Concert Orchestra reminds him of his time working with the cast and crew of Game of Thrones.
“Recently, there was a huge sendoff for the final season of Game of Thrones in New York and HBO invited everybody who had ever been in the series,” he said. “It was like a college reunion and it does feel like being part of a theatre company, but a bigger one.”
The show will also be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on 27th September.https://lovinmalta.com/lifestyle/celebrities/watch-hear-me-quiver-tywin-lannister-actor-terrified-

Working on the third series of the Netflix drama also meant filming some "very tense" scenes alongside Helena Bonham Carter (Princess Margaret), Charles Dance (Lord Mountbatten) and Oscar winner Olivia Colman, who plays the Queen. And Josh couldn't help but be starstruck.
He reveals: "It's been such a nice job. But it's kind of bizarre when you have got all your idols like Olivia Colman and Charles Dance and Tobias Menzies [Prince Philip] working with you. They are all brilliant actors, who I grew up with and idolised, and that is really exciting.
