Charles opened an hospital scanner in 2008

doctors clearer images of the inside of a patient's body.

Charles was Dr. Ed Mittlesbay in Exquisite Tenderness in 1995
Dr. Julian Mater is suspended and gets his license revoked for performing experiments on dying patients in cellular regeneration. A couple of years later, he returns to the hospital that condemned his work to begin practicing his grizzly experiments once more.

"About two years ago now I shot the film poster and stills for a short film called The Mapmaker.
It was an intense but fun few days and an interesting insight into the film making process.
It’s now been released at various film festivals and screenings so I can finally show my first (short) film poster here"…Sam Christmas
The Mapmaker, a beautiful, dream-like and melancholy film about an aging couple who are forced to come to terms with the complications in their lives when journeying back to a hotel they once visited in their youth. Charles Dance plays the Mapmaker of the title and Jenny Agutter stars as is his wife Isabel.

Stephen Johnson: Funding and pre-production were our greatest challenges. We were chasing high-profile stars to appear. I have some great memories from the shoot. Charles Dance called me a cheeky git when I asked him not to talk so posh. He has a wicked sense of humour and made it a much easier process.

Bond actress Rosamund Pike read a selection of poems by First World War poets at the Josephine Hart Poetry Week last night at the Arts Theatre, along with Charles Dance and Tom Hollander. “We’re offering people an experience that’s going to move them and change their feelings for a night,” said Pike, “and it’s all for a tenner.” Dance, celebrating his 66th birthday, said: “I like doing it, as I’m not particularly well-read. I learned a phenomenal amount.”

Doc premiere about James Bond, Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story Of 007 at Cinema Retro. Guests included Charles Dance, Maryam d’Abo, former EON publicist Jerry Juroe, Fiona Fullerton, Shirley Eaton, Samantha Bond, Vic Armstrong, Eunice Gayson, Madeline Smith, Martine Beswick, Caroline Munro, Shane Rimmer, John Glen, and Sir Ken Adam. Following the screening, guests relocated to The Naval and Military Club (In & Out) for a wonderful reception.
