Charles in the cast of Despite the Falling Snow

Oblivion actress Olga Kurylenko, Maria Furtwangler and Charles Dance are attached to star in spy-thriller Despite the Falling Snow.
Kurylenko is set to play an enigmatic female spy who falls in love with an idealistic politician. The action will move between 1950s and present day Moscow and London.

Writer-director Shamim Sarif has adapted the screenplay from his novel of the same name. Hanan Kattan is producing under the Enlightenment Productions banner with shooting slated to start mid October this year. The production is raising money through a UK EIS scheme.

Fantasy drama Game of Thrones has scooped the Radio Times Audience Award at this year’s Bafta Television Awards, the only award decided by the public.
In a closely fought battle that saw tens of thousands of viewers voting for their favourite show of the year, series two of the HBO drama – which airs in the UK on Sky Atlantic – beat off competition from period drama Call the Midwife, The Great British Bakeoff, US conspiracy thriller Homeland, Strictly Come Dancing and coverage of the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Dance and Christie joined producer Frank Vogler on stage to accept the award. Asked afterwards what was the key to the show's success, Vogler said it was impossible to identify a single element and that it was very much a team effort.
