The Halifax, Britain’s biggest mortgage lender, this week kicks off a two-year pounds 130m marketing drive comprising new advertising, product development and staff training. The bank is raising its ad-spend from pounds 11m to pounds 15m a year and unveiling a new TV campaign which aims to show the positive role the Halifax plays in the community by helping people to help others. The ads show how the Halifax, by helping one person, has a positive effect throughout a whole community as people pass on benefits through their everyday lives.
