It is a Tuesday afternoon in the offices of ITV and a fire alarm has just gone off. “Oh, hello!” says Charles Dance. He looks over my shoulder. People wait a few moments to see if the siren will stop, and then start moving towards the stairs. “Everybody’s getting up and walking out!” he exclaims in bemusement. Yes, I say.
