"Playing the role of 'dearly departed' at this premiere it's the Late Tywin Lannister, played by Charles Dance. (I'd mention it as a spoile, but come on... you're not uptodate on Game of Thrones? SHAME ON YOU!)"

about Dinklage
****Departing star Dance, whose Tywin Lannister character joined the list of central figures ditched the confines of history at the end of season four, said it was a “suitably ignominious end” for Tywin, and claimed he’ll miss working with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) most. “I’m still in touch with Peter, he is the most wonderful, sweet guy,” Dance said. “And what a monumental talent he is.”
***Speakeasy asked the actors who they personally wished they could resurrect and inject back into the show — and whom their characters would bring back.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister: Tywin Lannister. Charles Dance is just a brilliant person. A great actor. And also I think Jamie, the character? It was his dad. He didn’t want him to die.

Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth: You know what, I really liked Joffrey. He was the man that everybody loved to hate. Everybody cheered when he died, but then five minutes later, they went, who are we going to hate now? So he was a fantastic character. He’s kind of missed. And Charles Dance, I loved watching him working, and I just loved that whole, him being the patriarch of the Lannisters and causing trouble and all that. He was a joy, a complete joy.

***Our Prime Minister, David Cameron, said earlier this week that he was a fan of Game of Thrones. Which is great, because, well, it's nice to have one or two things in common with the man running the country. When asked which character he most identifies with, he responded with hesitation: ‘That is an impossible question to answer. I thought Ned Stark was great, I love Sean Bean, I was a big fan of Sharpe.’
So when we got to the world premiere of Game of Thrones, we asked Charles Dance, who plays Tywin Lannister in the show, whether he thinks Cameron would make a good Lannister.
His response? ‘I don’t think he’s brave enough to be a Lannister, darling.’
Dance added that it would be tough to say which character he most related to in real life.
"That is an impossible question to answer," he said. "I thought Ned Stark was great, I love Sean Bean, I was a big fan of Sharpe."
That’s pretty damning, especially when you consider Joffrey Baratheon is technically a Lannister…
